Here are the possible errors a charger might report. If any of the problems persist, please open a ticket,
Quick overview of possible errors
- EV Error. Check your vehicle.
- Overheating. Power limited.
- Overheated. Cooling down.
- Overcurrent detected.
- Metering error.
- RCD triggered.
- DANGER! Relay failure.
- EV communication error.
- Undervoltage detected.
- Overvoltage detected.
EV Error. Check your vehicle.
The vehicle reported an error and cannot continue charging. Please check your vehicle for further details.
Unplug your EV to clear the error.
Overheating. Power limited.
Your charger is getting too hot. The power derating algorithm was activated to keep it from getting any hotter. This means that the maximum charging power is being limited to avoid any hardware damage.
Potential reasons for overheating are:
- Ambient temperature is higher than the allowed operating temperature.
- Direct sunshine on the charger, which causes high ambient temperatures. The charger should not be installed in direct sunshine, or should be shaded.
- Loose or oxidized electrical connection. An improper electrical connection will generate a high amount of heat and may damage your charger. Disconnect the power before inspecting by a qualified person.
Overheated. Cooling down.
Your charge has overheated. The power derating algorithm was activated but could not keep the charger from overheating, even with reduced charging power. The charger is now cooling down.
Please contact support if all potential reasons for overheating have been eliminated.
Overcurrent detected.
The charger's overcurrent protection was activated to protect your installation. The connected EV was drawing more power than it was allowed to.
Unplug your EV to clear the error.
Metering error.
The integrated meter of your charger has reported an error. Please restart your charger and contact support if the problem persists.
RCD triggered.
DC leakage (>6mA DC) or a ground fault (>30mA AC) was detected. The charger has stopped charging to protect against electrocution or fire.
Potential reasons:
- damaged charging cable
- electrical problem within the EV
Unplug the EV to reset the error.
DANGER! Relay failure.
The charger has detected a critical issue with the switching device. This may lead to undesired electricity at the connector.
Disconnect the charger's power supply and contact support! DO NOT CONTINUE USING THE CHARGER! DANGER OF ELECTROCUTION!
EV communication error.
The charger detected an issue with the EV's communication circuit and aborted the charging process. (CP Diode short-circuit)
Unplug the EV to reset the error. If the problem persists, contact your vehicle's support.
Undervoltage detected.
The power supply's voltage is below the threshold. Please check your power supply.
Overvoltage detected.
The power supply's voltage is above the threshold. Please check your power supply.
